Genre: Film Conventions - NICCS

To understand genre film conventions we analysed a trailer of a movie called "los Angeles". This enabled me to understand the film conventions deeper. It is made up of 5 elements this is knows as:

Narrative: Typical story lines and structure used
Iconography: Things we expect to see
Characters: Typical character who drive the story forward
Camera work: Typical cinematographic style
Setting: Typical locations used

This broadened my understanding of Genre film conventions.
